# Ad Hoc Groups

Ad Hoc Groups feature allows for more flexible recipient management and signing processes. Ad hoc groups are useful for when you would like to create a group for a single transaction only. This is different from regular [Groups](/v1/docs/new-ux-admin-managing-groups), which can be re-used.

To enable this feature, contact our [Support Team](https://www.onespan.com/support).

> Ad Hoc Groups are not compatible with the [Account Level feature Enforce Authentication](/v1/docs/account-level-features).
>
> Since you cannot define an authentication method for Ad Hoc Groups, if you enable **Enforce Authentication** on an account you should be aware of the following:
>
> - Adding an Ad Hoc Groups to transactions when Enforce authentication is on will not be prevented.
> - There is no warning or error message if Ad Hoc Groups are included in transactions when Enforce authentication is on.
