The OneSpan audit system consists of a number of auditing modules that save audit messages to a specific format (e.g. text file or database) and an Audit Viewer application that can open, display and filter audit messages from various sources.

Audit messages are primarily generated by LDAP Synchronization Tool. These messages may be recorded via the following methods:
Windows Event Log (to be viewed in the Event Log Viewer)
Syslog (In Linux environments)
Text file
ODBC-compliant database
Audit messages may also be passed directly to Audit Viewer as a live feed.
