New features and enhancements
Support of Active Directory as source system
This version of DMT allows you to select OneSpan Authentication Server deployments as source system that use Active Directory as data store.
This enables you to migrate from Active Directory to a deployment with a supported ODBC DBMS as data store:
OneSpan Authentication Server 3.24 (Active Directory) to OneSpan Authentication Server 3.24 (ODBC)
OneSpan Authentication Server 3.24 (Active Directory) to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance/OneSpan Authentication Server Virtual Appliance 3.24
Note that you can no longer select Active Directory deployments as the target system in DMT.
OneSpan Authentication Server deployments that use Active Directory as data store are deprecated. The option to select and use AD as data store will be removed in a future release of OneSpan Authentication Server. We strongly recommend that you do not use this option as destination for new or planned upgrade installations!
Multiple reader/writer threads
In previous versions, DMT used only one thread to read data records from the data source in batches and one thread to write the data to the destination server. To improve data migration performance, you can now increase the number of threads to read and write more data in parallel. You can set the number of threads in the General Migration Options page when preparing a data migration. The default numbers of used reader threads and writer threads are set to half of the number of CPU cores.
