Article summary

You can create a policy from scratch or based on an existing parent policy. With a parent policy selected, the new policy will inherit all parent policy settings, which you can adapt afterward to meet your requirements.

To create a policy

  1. Log on to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface (see Accessing OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool and OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface).
  2. Select POLICIES > Create.
  3. Enter a policy ID. This ID should not contain the following characters: /\:;,|'"<>[]&@=+*?#
  4. Enter a textual description of the policy.
  5. Select the parent policy, i.e. the policy from which the new policy will inherit the settings. If you want to create a policy from scratch, select None.
  6. Click SUBMIT.

The new policy is created and you can specify and adapt policy settings as needed.
