Accessing the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool is possible using a standard Web browser, providing it does not have a proxy setup in its settings. Access is secured using SSL encryption over the HTTPS protocol.
Using the default user account sysadmin to access the Configuration Tool is less secure than using a new user account that requires authentication via OTP. We recommend to use the administrator user account created via the OneSpan Authentication Server Setup Wizard, and to disable the pre-defined sysadmin account as soon as possible. For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Administrator Guide.
Browsers
OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance adheres to common Web standards and is expected to be fully operational in the latest stable releases of all major Web browsers. The OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool has been tested on the following browsers:
- Google Chrome 76
- Mozilla Firefox ESR 68
Until first-time configuration and licensing have been completed, the URL https://appliance_ip_address/, automatically redirects to the Configuration Tool. After licensing, the URL redirects to the Administration Web Interface for daily management.
To log on to the Configuration Tool
Start a web browser and type the URL for the interface in the address bar:
https://appliance_ip_address/configtool
Since you attempt to access a website that is secured with a self-signed certificate, the web browser might present a respective warning and ask you to accept the certificate to continue. Accept the certificate accordingly.
After the certificate has been accepted, the login page of the Configuration Tool appears.
Log on using administrator credentials.
The default administrative user name and password is:
Username: sysadmin
Password: sysadmin
When connecting to the Configuration Tool, OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance automatically detects that this is a first-time installation and starts the Configuration Wizard.
