You can add more secure users with access to the Rescue Tool and configure them to enter other credentials in addition to the rescue user name.
This allows you to create your own users with associated high-strength passwords who have access to the Rescue Tool.
To add additional users to access the Rescue Tool
Start the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool and select Settings > Authentication.
Figure: Authentication Settings – Rescue Users
Type how many user IDs and passwords have to log on additionally to the first user in the Number of Additional Logins Required box. This adds further security to the rescue tool logon. This number must always be less than or equal to the number of rescue users created.
Click Add Rescue User as required to define additional user accounts.

The password must comply with the password strength rules as defined in the password strength settings. For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Product Guide. You can define as many user accounts as required. If no users are defined, the default setting is the un-authenticated rescue user ID.
