Administration interfaces
OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance provides three administration interfaces:
- Rescue Tool. Used to manage limited settings. For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Installation and Maintenance Guide.
- OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool. Used for installation, licensing, and maintenance tasks of OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance.
- OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface. Used for daily administration of the system after licensing OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance.
Accessing the Configuration Tool and the Administration Web Interface
Using the default user account sysadmin to access the Configuration Tool is less secure than using a new user account that requires authentication via OTP. We recommend to use the administrator user account created via the OneSpan Authentication Server Setup Wizard, and to disable the pre-defined sysadmin account as soon as possible.
The OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool and the Administration Web Interface are accessed using a standard web browser. Access is secured by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption via the HTTPS protocol.
The URL used to access the administration interfaces for OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance is:
https://appliance_ip_address/
This URL refers to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Welcome page. From there, you can access both the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool to further configure OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance and the Administration Web Interface, allowing daily management.
Until first-time configuration, licensing, and the OneSpan Authentication Server Setup Wizard configuration have been completed, only the link to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool is enabled. When licensing is completed, the link to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface is also enabled.
For more information about configuring OneSpan Authentication Server and the administration interface access, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Installation and Maintenance Guide.
