Basic installation

A basic installation allows a quick and simple installation and configuration of OneSpan Authentication Server using standard components and default settings where possible. This installation option is best suited for evaluation, test, and low-demand settings.

After OneSpan Authentication Server has been installed, the Configuration Wizard will be started in basic mode, which means that there will be limited configuration choices, with many settings set to default values.

Before installing, check that you have the license file available. Alternatively, you can complete the installation and then load a license file via the Administration Web Interface.

If you want non-default options and/or components (for example data encryption settings), you need to perform an advanced installation.

If you re-run the Configuration Wizard after the installation (from the Maintenance Wizard), the OneSpan Authentication Server service will be restarted. The same applies to the Net-SNMP services if they were installed as part of the OneSpan Authentication Server installation package.
