Résumé de l’article

In addition to the PIN protection method, Mobile Authenticator Studio also supports the use of biometrics. With the Biometric authentication feature the user can use either Face ID or Touch ID (iOS) / the fingerprint sensor (Android) when attempting to authenticate or sign transactions in Mobile Authenticator Studio.

This biometric protection also covers the Mobile Authenticator Studio encryption keys, once the user has successfully authenticated.

Biometric authentication can be enabled during the authenticator account activation process or anytime later via the settings menu.

To enable Face ID (iOS)

If biometric authentication with Face ID was not enabled during the account activation process, follow this workflow to enable this feature:

  1. The user taps the three dots at the top of the home screen to access the menu.

  2. The user is asked to enter their PIN code.

  3. The user taps Enable Face ID.

  4. The user scans their face with Face ID.

  5. The user has to confirm that they want to enable this biometric authentication method, and taps Enable Face ID again.

  6. The device saves the biometric information pertaining to the user. The user is presented with the authenticator home screen displaying the Pending requests, Scan Code, and One-time Password options, and can now use the Face ID feature to perform login and sign operations.
