Password Change
Type a new password for the sysadmin user account.
Using the default user account sysadmin to access the Configuration Tool is less secure than using a new user account that requires authentication via OTP. We recommend to use the administrator user account created via the OneSpan Authentication Server Setup Wizard, and to disable the pre-defined sysadmin account as soon as possible. For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Administrator Guide.

Network Settings

The IP address needs to be specified in CIDR format. For example, the IP address 192.0.2.230 with a netmask 255.255.255.0 needs to be typed as: 192.0.2.230/24. DNS suffixes can be entered in a comma separated list. The DNS server can be entered in a list, where you can specify several IP addresses in a column.
The OneSpan Customer Portal handles licensing, updating, and remote support for OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance. For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Product Guide, Section "OneSpan Customer Portal".
A direct connection to the OneSpan Customer Portal requires a default gateway to be configured and access on TCP port 443. For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Administrator Reference, Section "Firewall ports".
An alternative to configuring a default gateway is to use a proxy server. If a default gateway is not configured, however, services are only available to clients in the same subnet as OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance. To configure proxy settings, select Settings > Network in the Configuration Tool. This can be done at the end of the Configuration Wizard after successful activation if you do not continue to the License Wizard.
Time Synchronization
Enter the address of a custom NTP server you want to use, or use the default value, i.e. pool.ntp.org.

Appliance CA Information
Specify the information to set up the built-in OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance certification authority (CA). The built-in certification authority (CA) is used to sign all automatically generated certificates.

Activation Confirmation
When all data has been entered correctly, OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance can be activated on this page by clicking Finish.
- Select the Continue to the license wizard checkbox and click Finish to complete the activation and start the Licensing Wizard now.
- Clear the Continue to the license wizard checkbox and click Finish to just complete the activation and perform other configurations manually via the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool later.
If you changed the IP address during first-time configuration (network settings), then you need to reflect this change in your web browser, i.e. change the IP portion of the address accordingly. Otherwise, clicking Finish at this point will result in a timeout.
