To configure an automatic backup
- Log on to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool, and select System > Backup & Restore.
- (OPTIONAL) Select Use Custom Encryption Pass Phrase and type a passphrase twice to prevent typing errors.
Select the protocol option to use for automatic backups:
Enable SFTP Backup. When using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), the SFTP server sends an encrypted fingerprint of its public host key to ensure that the SFTP connection is to the correct server. A connection is only possible if the fingerprint is known to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance.
Specify the fingerprint settings:
Copy and paste the fingerprint to the SSH Server RSA Fingerprint box. The fingerprint should be generated with the RSA algorithm.
-OR-
Type the SFTP server, SFTP directory, and authentication settings. Click Fetch Fingerprint to automatically retrieve the fingerprint.
Click Download public key to retrieve the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance public key and install it on the SFTP server.
For more information, refer to the documentation of your SFTP server.
- Enable FTP Backup. Specify the FTP server settings.
