Configuring Push Notification Delivery

By default, Message Delivery Component (MDC) is configured to relay push notifications to the respective cloud-based notification services (Apple APNs, Google FCM) via OneSpan Notification Gateway (OneSpan cloud services).

You can use the MDC Configuration Utility to configure the HTTP gateway used for push notification delivery and HTTP proxy settings.

To configure an HTTP gateway connection for push notification delivery

1. Start the MDC Configuration Utility.
2. Switch to the Push delivery tab.
3. If the delivery method is not yet enabled, select Enable Push Notification Delivery.

4. Specify the URL and the port of the gateway to use for sending push notifications. Note that the URL contains also the protocol used by the gateway.

   By default, this is the API URL of the cloud-based OneSpan Notification Gateway:

   https://to.push.onespan.cloud:443/api/push_notifications

   If you want to set up DIGIPASS Gateway for on-premises notification sending, set this to the API URL of your on-prem DIGIPASS Gateway instance.

5. If the gateway requires TLS/SSL encryption, i.e. the URL contains https:// as protocol prefix, specify the path and name of the certification authority (CA) bundle file in the Certificate file box.

   By default, this is the CA bundle file included in OneSpan Authentication Server:

   %PROGRAMFILES%\VASCO\IDENTIKEY Authentication Server\bin\curl-ca-bundle.crt (Windows)

   /opt/vasco/ias/bin/curl-ca-bundle.crt (Linux)

6. Click Apply to save the changes.
