You can write your own backup script/tool to request a backup from OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance. The URL to access the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance backup is as follows:

https://ip_address/system/backup/download

To configure a scripted backup

  1. Log on to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool, and select System > Backup & Restore.
  2. Select Scripted Backups > Enabled.
  3. Specify the user credentials as specified in the System Backup tab:

    1. Username
    2. Password
    3. Allowed Networks. Required to pull a backup from the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance using a customized script.

  4. Click Test Settings to test the configuration.
  5. Click Save to apply the configuration.

The user name and password for a script to authenticate to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance and download a backup can be freely chosen and defined in the System Backup tab. These credentials are not associated with a user account in the OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface.
