Creating an Organizational Structure

This topic describes how to create an organizational structure in the ODBC data store.

To create a new domain, you need a global administrator account with the following administrative privileges:

• Admin Logon
• Access Data in all Domains
• Create Domain
• View Domain

To add a domain

1. Log on to the Administration Web Interface.

2. Select ORGANIZATION > Add domain.
3. Type a domain name.
4. (OPTIONAL) Type a description for the domain.
5. Click Create.

To create an organizational unit in a domain

1. Log on to the Administration Web Interface.

2. Select ORGANIZATION > List.
3. Locate the domain in which to create the organizational unit and click it to view the domain details.
4. Click Add Org. Unit.
5. Type a name for the organizational unit.
6. Select a parent organizational unit, if applicable. This creates the new organizational unit as a child of the selected one.
7. (OPTIONAL) Type a description for the new organizational unit.
8. Click Create.
