    The one-time password (OTP) credentials used by Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon are either validated directly by OneSpan Authentication Server (online authentication) or are validated against offline authentication data generated by OneSpan Authentication Server (offline authentication). Whether Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon performs online or offline authentication depends on the availability of the OneSpan Authentication Server instance. The authentication mode is completely transparent to the user.
