By default, maker–checker authorization is disabled. It must be enabled in the global configuration settings via the Administration Web Interface. If you enable maker–checker authorization, it is enabled for all supported commands, but you can enable or disable it for each supported command separately.
Before you begin
If you want to enable maker–checker authorization, ensure that you have successfully completed and verified the required setup tasks and settings for using maker–checker authorization (see Setting up maker–checker authorization).
Do not enable maker–checker authorization, unless you have created at least two administrative accounts, i.e. one maker administrator and one checker administrator.
- If you want to disable maker–checker authorization, ensure that there are no pending operations left. Otherwise, delete or process any remaining pending operations accordingly. If you attempt to disable maker–checker authorization when pending operations still exist, also possibly outside your administrative scope, you will receive an error message.
- Ensure that you have administrative access to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface.
- Ensure that you have the View Global Configuration Options, the Set Global Configuration Options, and the Enable/Disable Maker–Checker privileges assigned.
