Digipass Authentication for Microsoft ADFS is an add-on authentication module for Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and provides strong authentication with one-time passwords (OTPs) generated by an authenticator.
Microsoft ADFS supports primary authentication and additional authentication. The primary authentication is an authentication against Active Directory (AD) and supports all authentication methods that are supported by AD (one-factor authentication, 1FA). The additional authentication provides a second authentication factor that supplements the primary authentication (two-factor authentication, 2FA). Primary authentication combined with additional authentication provides multi-factor authentication.
Digipass Authentication for Microsoft ADFS contains an ADFS authentication provider that can be used as an additional authentication method. This allows for authentication against AD as the primary authentication, and authentication via an authenticator as the additional authentication.
