Globally integrated solution

OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance is typically integrated within an organization's existing security infrastructure, where it interacts with other components, such as corporate and remote access clients, remote management applications, custom web applications, and back-end systems (see Figure: Globally integrated solution).

SDK-based web applications supported by OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance using the SOAP protocol include:

• Authentication (see OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance authentication process)
• Electronic signatures
• Software authenticator provisioning (see Software authenticator provisioning)
• Administration (see Administration)

Corporate and remote access clients for authentication supported by OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance include:

• RADIUS clients (RADIUS protocol)
• Digipass Authentication Module product family (SOAP protocol)
• Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon (SOAP protocol) (see Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon )

OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance supports back-end authentication via RADIUS servers and LDAP servers, e.g. NetIQ eDirectory, Microsoft Active Directory, and IBM Security Directory Server Access Manager (see Back-end authentication.

User accounts can be created in OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance and synchronized using the following data synchronization tools:

• Password Synchronization Manager automatically updates the static password on OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance when a user has changed the Windows password (see Static password management).
• LDAP Synchronization Tool synchronizes user information on OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance with external LDAP databases, such as Microsoft Active Directory and NetIQ eDirectory (see LDAP user synchronization).
• Data Migration Tool (DMT) is available to convert and migrate records from other OneSpan authentication products to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance. For more information contact your OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance supplier.
