To install and license a replacement OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance
- Connect the replacement appliance to your network (see Connecting OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance to the network).
- Log on to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool (see Accessing and logging on to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool).
Complete the Configuration wizard (see Configuration Wizard).
The Configuration wizard offers you a link to restore a backup. This enables you to proceed with the backup without having to complete the wizard.
Restore the backup from the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance instance to be replaced (see Restoring backups).
The license from your previous OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance remains valid for a grace period of 30 days during which all services are available. You need to re-license the replacement appliance within that grace period (see Changing the IP address or restoring a backup to a OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance). When the grace period expires, the OneSpan Authentication Server Administration Web Interface and the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool are still accessible for administration and management purposes, but no services are available.
