Introduction to Audit Viewer

The Audit Viewer application can retrieve audit messages from several different sources and display them in separate windows. Audit messages can be filtered by message type, date and time, or the contents of specific fields.

Navigation pane

Select nodes in the navigation pane to display records in the result pane. Right-click a node to view actions that can be performed on that node. See Navigation pane.

Result pane

Double-click a record in the result pane to view its properties sheet. Right-click a record to view the available actions.

Customizing the view

The application view is customizable to some extent, as you can re-size the panes or drag and move the toolbar. You can reset to the default application view, by selecting View > Restore Layout.
