Key management utility

The different key management operations described in the previous sections can be performed with the OneSpan Key Management Tool, a key management utility provided by OneSpan that comes along with Authentication Suite Server SDK for Entrust nShield HSM.

It enables you to perform the following operations:

• Key generation
• Key import and export
• Key deletion
• List keys on the host

OneSpan Key Management Tool creates keys in standalone files (vascoStorageKey.txt, vascoTransportKey.txt, and vasco1.txt to vasco9.txt) containing the key BLOBs.

The Authentication Suite Server SDK SEE machine part of Authentication Suite Server SDK for Entrust nShield HSM is limited to usage of 11 loaded keys maximum in the same time (vascoStorageKey, vascoTransportKey, and vasco1 to vasco9). For this reason, the manager is also limited to the creation of 11 key files.
