Résumé de l’article

The Message Delivery Component (MDC) service accepts one-time password (OTP) notifications and other messages from OneSpan Authentication Server. It interfaces with SMS, email, voice, or push notification gateways to relay those messages to a user’s phone or email address. Push notifications can be forwarded via an on-prem DIGIPASS Gateway or OneSpan Notification Gateway.

You can use client and server SSL certificates to secure the communication between MDC and OneSpan Authentication Server.

OneSpan Authentication Server supports the following delivery methods via MDC:

  • SMS
  • Email
  • Voice (a text-to-speech service)
  • Push notifications

Several templates are defined for each of these delivery methods (see MDC message settings).

MDC can be used for a number of different functional areas within OneSpan Authentication Server. The delivery methods available depend on the functionality available within each functional area:

  • Virtual Mobile Authenticator (OTP)
  • Virtual signature
  • Authenticator activation data (sends authenticator activation QR code via email only)
  • System monitoring notification
  • Configuration test message
