When you migrate from OneSpan Authentication Server to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance/OneSpan Authentication Server Virtual Appliance you can use the Data Migration Tool (DMT) and the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Update Wizard to migrate user data or authenticator data. For more information about the Update wizard and update procedures, see Updating OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance.
When you migrate from OneSpan Authentication Server to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance, note the following:
- OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance creates a dedicated user account that you need to explicitly use for migration purposes.
- Administrative user accounts that have an administrator level greater than 100 are automatically set to 100 during the migration process. If the source system uses administrator levels to create an administrator account hierarchy, you should verify the data migration results.
When you migrate from or to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance/OneSpan Authentication Server Virtual Appliance, the respective OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance/OneSpan Authentication Server Virtual Appliance instance must be set to migration mode. This is done by retrieving the enable-dmt-mode-version.bun package from the Downloads section on the OneSpan Customer Portal and uploading it to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance/OneSpan Authentication Server Virtual Appliance. To complete data migration, select, verify, and install the package (see Select Update and Verify Update).
For more information about setting OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance/OneSpan Authentication Server Virtual Appliance into migration mode, refer to the Data Migration Tool Administrator Guide.
