If you want Mobile Authenticator Studio to support multiple languages, you need to create one XML customization file per language and store these files in \CustomizationTool\input\xml. With multi-language, an XML customization file is automatically selected at runtime according to the device locale.
<DIGIPASSlocale="en-us" name="English" icon="en.png"
applicationName="DIGIPASS English">
DIGIPASS: These elements define the profile for a language.
locale: The device locale. The XML file is selected without user interaction, based on the locale provided by the device. If the device locale does not have a corresponding XML file, the default XML file will be used.
One XML file must have an authenticator element without a locale defined (this is the default XML). Two XML files cannot have the same locale.
The locale value must be defined with two or five characters. The first two characters define the language code, followed by "-". The last two characters define the country code. The country code is optional. For a list of available languages, refer to the DIGIPASS.xsd file of the Mobile Authenticator Studio package.
For Android, the locale must be set using the two-character country code (en, fr, it) to ensure that permission strings and the app name are translated correctly. For alternative string translations, an additional customization a with a five-character country-code locale (such as en-gb) can be utilized.
name: The user-friendly name of the XML file. This name will be used to identify the XML file on the language selection screen if the language selection feature is enabled. This attribute is mandatory with multi-language support, or if the language selection feature is enabled. It can contain any UTF-8 character except for a diaeresis ( ¨ , UTF-8 hexa: C2A8, or Unicode code point: U+00A8).
icon: The icon associated with the XML file on the language selection screen. This attribute is optional.
applicationName: The name of the application that will be displayed in the home screen of the mobile phone. As for the locale attribute, the displayed application’s name is chosen from your XML customization files, according to the locale provided by the device. If the device locale does not have a corresponding XML file, the default XML file will be used. This attribute is mandatory.
