About this scenario

In this scenario, a Mobile Authenticator Studio app is used, which is built and downloaded from the OneSpan Cloud Authentication Sample Site.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have completed the steps described in Getting started with OneSpan Authentication for ForgeRock.

Walkthrough: Offline user registration and Digipass activation

1. Use the following URL to start the process:

   https://your_instance_url/openam/XUI/?realm=/&service=OneSpan-XUI-Cloud-Authentication-User-Register-Sample-Tree#login

2. Enter your user name and password. The password needs to meet the following requirements:

   • Minimum length: 8 digits

   • Contains at least one lowercase and one uppercase character

   • Contains at least one numeric character

   • Does not contain parts of the user name for any 3 characters

   

   ForgeRock login dialog

   Behind the scenes, the OCA service creates a user account and waits for an authenticator to activate the license. The activation password is included in a Cronto image.

3. Launch the Mobile Authenticator Studio app and scan the Cronto image.

   The device code is displayed on the mobile device.

4. Enter the device code.

   Another Cronto image is displayed.

5. Scan the Cronto image.

6. Enter your user name and activate fingerprint protection.

   Your first one-time password (OTP) is displayed.

7. Enter the OTP as the signature to complete the activation.

8. The Mobile Authenticator Studio app opens the Applications page, and the browser is redirected to the success URL.

The workflow tree uses the following sample nodes:

The OneSpan Sample nodes are provided and included in the OneSpan Authentication for ForgeRock package for demonstration purposes only. You should not use these nodes in production environments, but replace them with your own node implementations.
