OneSpan Authentication Server configuration settings are modified using the Configuration Utility, Administration Web Interface, SOAP commands, Tcl commands, or by directly modifying the XML configuration file. Configuration changes applied using the Configuration Utility or directly in the configuration file require a restart. The Configuration Utility automatically prompts to restart the service upon exit.
However, if you modify the configuration file directly, you need to restart the VASCO IDENTIKEY Authentication Server service/daemon using the Windows Service Control Manager (in Windows) or via the service utility (in most Linux distributions). Configuration changes done using the Administration Web Interface, SOAP commands, or Tcl commands do not require a restart.
Each OneSpan Authentication Server instance has separate configuration settings. Changes to settings for one OneSpan Authentication Server will not be automatically applied to other OneSpan Authentication Server.
The settings edited using Advanced Settings tab in the Storage section of the Configuration Utility are not replicated to other OneSpan Authentication Server instances. Normally these settings should be the same on all OneSpan Authentication Server instances, so you need to make sure they are applied to each instance.
As they are stored in the database itself these settings will be copied also if you copy a database from one OneSpan Authentication Server instance to another.
