To test EMV-CAP authentication integration on your website, you can use the EMV-CAP demo authenticator included with OneSpan Authentication Server.
The EMV-CAP demo authenticator will only be available if the following conditions are met:
- The EMV-CAP option was selected during the installation of OneSpan Authentication Server.
- OneSpan Authentication Server is NOT used with a hardware security module (HSM).
To use the EMV-CAP demo authenticator to test EMV-CAP authentication integration
- Log in to the Administration Web Interface.
- Import the Demo_SSMEMVCAP.dpx file.
- Assign the authenticator to a test user account. Take note of the Event Counter value for the authenticator you intend to use.
- Run the dpdemotokengen command-line tool. By default, this tool is installed in the %PROGRAMFILES%\VASCO\IDENTIKEY Authentication Server\bin directory on Windows or in the /opt/vasco/ias/bin directory on Linux.
- Attempt an authentication via your website, using the test user account details and entering the same transaction information as entered in the dpdemotokengen tool.
On Linux, the EMV-CAP demo authenticator and the corresponding reader should be installed manually.
