Tracing messages will be recorded to a text file.
To set up tracing in the audit system
- Select Tools > Options from the menu.
- Select the tracing level.
Enter the absolute path and name of a text file to which tracing data will be written.
The absolute path must already exist, but the text file will be created if required.
- Click OK.
The tracing level determines what information is traced:
- No Tracing. Tracing is disabled.
Basic Tracing. This level will record the following:
- Critical error/warning messages [CRITC]
- Major error/warning messages [MAJOR]
- Minor error/warning messages [MINOR]
- Configuration messages [CONFG]
- Alert messages [ALERT]
- Informational messages [INFO]
Full Tracing. This level will record the following:
- Critical error/warning messages [CRITC]
- Major error/warning messages [MAJOR]
- Minor error/warning messages [MINOR]
- Configuration messages [CONFG]
- Alert messages [ALERT]
- Informational messages [INFO]
- Informational messages (verbose) [VINFO]
- Data tracing messages [DATA]
- Debugging messages (useful for support purposes) [DEBUG]
- Security messages, messages that may contain security sensitive data [SECUR]
- Temporary data values [TEMP]
- Resource usage [RESRC]
