OneSpan is constantly improving its products to solve problems and to address new requirements. These improvements are distributed to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance through the updating process. Updating is included in OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance maintenance contracts.
Updating is supported via an update wizard in the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool (see OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool ).
Updating process
Updates can be acquired in the following ways:
- Offline using an update file. Packages for offline updates can be downloaded from the OneSpan Customer Portal (https://cp.onespan.com/).
Online from the OneSpan Customer Portal. Available updates can be downloaded using the update wizard.
Online updating requires a connection secured using HTTPS between OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance and the OneSpan Customer Portal (see OneSpan Customer Portal).
When completing an update using the update wizard (either online or offline), OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance restarts automatically. During restart, services are temporarily unavailable. After restart you need to log on to the Configuration Tool, where you can verify the update state on the Status page.
A fail-over system reverts OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance to the previous operational version if any error occurs during updating, e.g. power failure.
If you encounter problems with OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance after you have upgraded to a new version, you can revert the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance operating system to the previous version.
For more information, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Installation and Maintenance Guide.
