Hardware requirements

If you install OneSpan User Websites from the provided installation packages, the following minimum hardware requirements apply:

• Memory:

  • 2 GB for Microsoft Windows

  • 1 GB for Linux

• 500 MB free disk space

OneSpan User Websites can be installed from the provided installation packages that already include an Apache Tomcat web server. Installation packages are provided for the following platforms:

• Microsoft Windows Server 2022

• Microsoft Windows Server 2019

• Microsoft Windows Server 2016

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9, 64-bit

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8, 64-bit

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 64-bit (version 7.9)

• Rocky Linux 9, 64-bit

• Rocky Linux 8, 64-bit

• Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS, 64-bit

• Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS, 64-bit

Web servers

If you install OneSpan User Websites from the provided setup package, the websites and all required third-party products are installed automatically.

OneSpan User Websites includes the Azul Zulu Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Most of the security issues found in the standard JRE do not affect OneSpan User Websites deployments. If you want to use a different and more recent JRE version, you need to set up your own web application server that runs on that JRE, and to deploy OneSpan User Websites manually.

The Apache Tomcat web application server that is included in the OneSpan User Websites setup package officially supports only the JRE version that is included in the OneSpan User Websites setup package. OneSpan cannot and does not guarantee correct operation if a JRE version other than the one included in the setup package is used.

If you want to deploy OneSpan User Websites to an existing web server manually, the following requirements apply.

OneSpan User Websites can be run on these web application servers:

• Apache Tomcat 9.0–9.0.90

The following components must be installed on the web application server machine:

• Oracle Server Java Runtime Environment 11
