Issue OAS‑22840: Error when non-administrative users attempt to save changed configuration
Description: When a user without local administrative privilege—or, more specific, without write access to the configuration folder—attempts to change and save the configuration via the LDAP Synchronization Tool Configuration Utility, an error message appears that the configuration cannot be saved or the service cannot be restarted.
Another issue was reported which prevents to disable full tracing, once it has been configured.
Affects: LDAP Synchronization Tool 3.22–3.26
Status:
This issue has been fixed.
If you now start the LDAP Synchronization Tool Configuration Utility without sufficient privileges, you will receive a user elevation prompt on Windows, if UAC is properly configured. On Linux, make sure that you start the application as root user.
Furthermore, full tracing can now be correctly disabled again.
