New features and enhancements
Improved user experience and acceptance rates
OneSpan has been working with Veridas—our Identity Verification Partner—to improve the overall user experience and acceptance rates with OneSpan Identity Verification. Veridas recently released an improved version that significantly increases the antispoofing performance in the passive and active liveness detection solution by increasing security for the same conversion rates. The updated engine also yields a higher true acceptance rate.
In detail the update includes the following changes:
Achieve a similar security level in the 0.77 Lifeproof score threshold compared to the previous one achieved with 0.95 threshold in 2021.
A higher true acceptance rate in the antispoofing stage, going from 86% (for 0.95 threshold in the release 2023.6) to a 90% (for 0.77 threshold in the new release).
With the new 0.77 threshold, there is a 1% of maximum attack percentage classification error across different attack species, including screens and print attacks.
OneSpan will be adjusting the person alive thresholds( i.e. Veridas Lifeproof score threshold) on production environment to 0.77 in this release of OneSpan Identity Verification.
Detailed Verification Report API enhancement
The Detailed Verification Report API has been enhanced to include the download URLs of the selfie image and the image from the ID document. The images can be downloaded and used for manual verification if the end user verification fails for different reasons, for example because the user has submitted an unsupported ID document.
Barcode scanning for Canada and US driver's licenses
Several workflows now support barcode scanning for driver's licenses that were issued in Canada and the United States. The extraction of data from the barcode improves the accuracy of the verification process.
