Article summary

Transaction Data Signing consists in signing data which is stored on a server using the Mobile Authenticator Studio app.

The data signing process starts outside the Mobile Authenticator Studio app. For example, the user enters a set of data in an online form and wants to sign it. The form must contain the data itself, as well as an identifier specific to this set of data. Once the form is submitted, the data is stored on the server.

The Manual Transaction Data Signing feature gives users the ability to approve multiple pending transactions for multiple user accounts on a specific device.

To manually sign transaction data

When the user wants to complete a manual transaction data signing, they need to perform the following steps after account activation:

  1. The user selects the account on the Select account screen to see the pending requests for this account.

  2. The user taps the Pending requests button on the home screen.

  3. The user authenticates with the configured authentication method (PIN or biometry).

  4. Depending on the number of pending requests, the user may see one of the following screens:

    1. If there is a single pending request, the user is presented with the request details screen. The user taps Approve. (See Request details screen.)

    2. If there are multiple pending requests, the user is presented with a list of pending requests. The user taps on one of these pending requests. The user is taken to the request details screen. The user taps Approve. (See Pending requests screen.)

  5. The user is required to confirm their identity either by OTP or biometric authentication to continue the approval process. The user taps Done to complete the transaction.

  6. After the transaction is approved, the user is returned to the Home screen. If there are more pending requests, the user can return to the list and proceed with approving further pending requests.

Additionally:

  • If the user does not want to approve the transaction, they may tap Deny to exit the approval process.
