# Minimum Software Requirements

This page identifies third-party software and devices that are supported by the OneSpan Sign service.

OneSpan Sign's dependencies are generally on the browser, not on lower-level components.

All of the following requirements are subject to change.

### Operating Systems

- Microsoft Windows 10, 11 (except external touch-screen devices)
- Mac OS X ([current version](https://support.apple.com/en-ca/109033), and its predecessor)

### Browsers

The following browsers are supported for use with the OneSpan UI. Browser support for viewing PDFs may differ.

- Edge (latest stable version)

Microsoft Edge in [IE mode](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-ie-mode) or IE Compatibility mode is no longer supported by the New User Experience (including the [Signer Experience](/v1/docs/using-the-signer-experience)).
- Chrome (latest stable version)
- Firefox (latest stable version)
- Safari (latest stable version)

For all browsers, cookies must be enabled.

### PDF Versions

The supported PDF versions are:

- 1.3 through 1.7

### PDF Viewers

Acrobat or similar software may be required to view and print PDF files. Occasionally, a PDF viewer may give results that differ from those of Adobe Reader. When that occurs, OneSpan considers the Adobe Reader results to be more definitive. **Note**: The same consideration applies when displaying a pdf in a browser outside a Onespan environment. When the rendering of a pdf through a browser is different than Adobe Reader, Onespan considers the rendering from Adobe Reader to be more definitive.
