Mobile Authenticator Studio license activation

Once installed on the device, an authenticator license needs to be activated in the Mobile Authenticator Studio app. The license is activated by providing the license activation data, which consists of the license number, the configuration data, and the authenticator's secret key.

Mobile Authenticator Studio supports two licensing models:

• standard licensing model (also single-device licensing). For more information standard license activation, see Standard license activation.

• multi-device licensing model. For more information about multi-device license activation, see Multi-device license activation.

In the single-device licensing model, each authenticator license is associated with a unique serial number and a unique secret that is delivered in a DPX file. Each authenticator license can be installed on a single device.

In the multi-device licensing model, each authenticator license is associated with a unique serial number and a unique license key. For each serial number, up to 99 authenticator secrets can be generated. The authenticator license is delivered in a DPX file. The sequence number and the secret of the authenticator are generated on-demand by Authentication Server Framework.
