The Import Users wizard guides you through importing users from a comma-separated file (CSV), i.e. user import file, into OneSpan Authentication Server. For more information about user import files, see User import file format.
Available via USERS > Import.
Before you start the wizard, you must do or have the following:
- a valid user import file
- If you want to import the user records and assign them authenticators automatically (specified by serial numbers in the user import file), disable maker–checker authorization. Otherwise you will get an error message when running the import task.
Upload File
The Upload File page is used to specify the full path and file name of the import file.
Click Browse to launch a file browser and navigate to the user import file.
After entering the import file's location, click Upload. OneSpan Authentication Server will verify that the file exists. If the selected file does not exist or OneSpan Authentication Server cannot find and open it, an error message will be displayed.
Import Users
The Import Users page allows you to specify whether you want accounts created for the imported users, whether you want to automatically assign authenticators to the imported users, and whether you want to import the password for the users.
Field name | Description |
---|---|
Number of Users selected | Shows the number of users selected from the import file. |
Create new user accounts | This option is selected by default, and allows the creation of new user accounts. Select one of the following options:
|
Update existing user accounts | Select this checkbox to update user accounts instead of trying to create them if they already exist in the system. |
Update static password | This field is only displayed if static passwords are present on the input file. Select the checkbox if you want static passwords to be updated when the user accounts are created. |
Assign DIGIPASS using serial numbers from file | This option only appears if the user import file has a SerialNumber column. Select this checkbox to map each user account to its corresponding authenticator serial number (as specified in the user import file) during the user import process. For more information about the user import file format, see User import file format. |
When you are satisfied with the options, click Import to upload the file.
