# Configuration overview

## Introduction

A successful deployment of DigipassONE authentication software requires proper configuration after installation, such as specifying authenticators, creating your apps, and controlling the authentication behavior of your apps. Instructions for carrying out those tasks are under the **Operate** menu. Smooth daily operation requires properly performed operational tasks. You can find those tasks under the **Deploy > Maintain** menu.

These articles provide an overview of these different configurations tasks, with links to specific instructions. It is intended for administrators who are responsible for configuring and administering DigipassONE authentication software, and it provides context and background information when necessary so you understand the rationale.
