# Custom device ID

## Introduction

If one of your customers installs many of your apps on their one device, each of those apps has a unique device ID. If that customer’s device is lost or stolen, you need to revoke all of the authenticators for all of your apps. When each app has a unique device ID, this can be a cumbersome process. Streamline this process by creating a custom device ID shared by all of your apps running on the same device.
