The Nok Nok Tutorial app has also been renamed to the Digipass S3 Tutorial app. The user interface for the Tutorial app has the same flow and menu structure, but with a new look. ### New in this version - The App SDK’s Sign-in flow implements the WebAuthn feature *conditional create*. This feature silently creates a passkey when the user has logged into the app with a username and password that was previously saved and auto-filled by Google Password Manager. For more information, see the [Developer guide for Android](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-android-implementing-authentication-in-your-app-1#automatically-create-a-passkey). - Customers can download a checksum with their product package to independently verify the integrity and authenticity of the software. ### Issues resolved in this version - The App SDK returns a different error code for duplicate registration attempts, depending on which Android device is used. - **Previous** **Behavior** When a user attempts a duplicate registration, the App SDK sometimes returns INVALID_STATE and sometimes returns FAILURE depending on the type of mobile device. - **New Behavior** When a user attempts a duplicate registration, the App SDK returns INVALID_STATE no matter which Android device they are using. - The App SDK displays a distorted preview of the QR code scanner on Pixel devices - **Previous** **Behavior** On Pixel devices, the App SDK displays a distorted preview of the QR code scanner. - **New Behavior** The App SDK shows a correctly proportioned preview of the QR code scanner on all devices. - The App SDK returns a ResultType SERVER_ERROR instead of SERVER_VERIFICATION_ERROR for status code 4403. - **Previous** **Behavior** In an INIT_REG and an INIT_ADAPTIVE operation, The App SDK returns the ResultType SERVER_ERROR instead of SERVER_VERIFICATION_ERROR for status code 4403. - **New Behavior** The App SDK always returns a ResultType of SERVER_VERIFICATION_ERROR for status code 4403. ### Supported Devices - FIDO2 is supported on devices running Android 7 and later. Passkeys are natively supported on Android 9 and later. - Fingerprint Support - devices running Android 6.0 and later equipped with a fingerprint sensor and Android Fingerprint API support, including the Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. - PIN Support - any Android device running a supported operating system. - 3rd Party FIDO UAF ASMs developed with the Authenticator SDK. - The App SDK for Android supports devices running Android 5.0 and later. - The App SDK for Wear OS supports devices and emulators running Wear 2.0 (Android Wear 7.1.1 API 25 and higher) ### Prerequisites You must have the following software and tools installed and configured: - [Android Studio](https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html) - The maximum target API level that an app using App SDK can claim is Android SDK 35. - Device with recent versions of either Google Play Services or Huawei Mobile Services installed. - Java compiler 11 > No changes are required to upgrade your app from the Android App SDK 9.4 to the Android App SDK 9.5.
