This is called out-of-band (OOB) authentication. To support OOB authentication, you must configure both the Auth Server and your client apps. For more information, see *Out-of-band Authentication* in the [iOS](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-implementing-authentication-in-your-app-1#outofband-authentication), [Android](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-android-implementing-authentication-in-your-app-1#outofband-authentication), and [Web](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-web-implementing-authentication-in-your-web-app-1#outofband-authentication) Developer Guides. The instructions in this section assume that you are using the DigipassONE API Server as part of standard integration. If you have implemented your own proxy in place of the API Server, [contact OneSpan customer support](mailto:support@onespan.com) for the configuration changes you need to make for OOB. Formerly known as Digipass S3.
