# Custom device ID with App SDK for Web

You can use the App SDK to provide a device identifier that will be used instead of the existing device ID. To set a custom device ID, use the AppSdkInfo global object.

Example setDeviceId:

```plaintext
// Sets custom device ID for all AppSdk and AdaptiveUI instances
AppSdkInfo.setDeviceId(customDeviceId);
```
