If strings are not found in the custom or main bundle, the framework gets the corresponding default English strings. For App SDK localization details, see [Localizing](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-packaging-options#localizing) in the *iOS Developer Guide*. ### Adding a New Localization to Passport App 1. Open the Passport App using Xcode. Select the project target and go to the **Info** tab. In the **Localizations** section, click the **+** (plus) sign to add new localized strings (see the following screenshot). 2. Select the localizable files from the dialog and click **Finish**. 3. Edit the newly created localizable files and translate the strings into the desired language. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/038f59a7-abd0-4c14-9de7-3434d28b49fd/Images/Documentation/image7(4).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T04%3A42%3A09Z&se=2026-10-29T05%3A42%3A09Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=35MUJHoUjyCc6brIhlu91FCe6AxvYodR05qYysudTrE%3D) 1. Select the **Localizable.strings** folder and select the checkbox to enable the newly added language. Add the translated strings for your chosen language. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/038f59a7-abd0-4c14-9de7-3434d28b49fd/Images/Documentation/image8(10).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T04%3A42%3A09Z&se=2026-10-29T05%3A42%3A09Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=35MUJHoUjyCc6brIhlu91FCe6AxvYodR05qYysudTrE%3D) ## App Icons To change the application icons: 1. Prepare your iOS application icons and place them in a folder named Images.xcassets. 2. Delete the existing icons in NokNokPassport/NokNokPassport/Images.xcassets In Xcode, right-click the folder NokNokPassport/NokNokPassport/Images.xcassets and choose **Delete**. 1. Select the folder NokNokPassport. 2. Right-click and choose **Add Files to NokNokPassport**, then navigate to the Images.xcassets folder. 3. Click **Add** to add your custom icons to the project at NokNokPassport/NokNokPassport/Images.xcassets. ## Application Name To change the app's name from Passport: 1. Within the project hierarchy in Xcode, select the file NokNokPassport/Supporting Files/NokNokPassport-Info.plist. 2. Identify the Bundle display name key and change its value from Passport to your own name, for example NewApp. ## About Screen ### Changing the Text in the About Screen 1. In Xcode, search the workspace for the text string About Nok. The search returns two source files: 1. Main.storyboard (Base) 2. OneTimeAboutScreenViewController.m 1. Select the OneTimeAboutScreenViewController.m search result 2. In the source file, identify the line containing the text About Nok Nok under the //Set title comment ```plaintext //Set title self.navigationItem.title = NSLocalizedString(@"About Nok Nok", nil): ``` 1. Replace the text with your own, for example, About New App ```plaintext //Set title self.navigationItem.title = NSLocalizedString(@"About New App", nil); ``` 1. Identify the line containing the text Using two devices for authentication text under the //Set text for the first label comment ```plaintext // Set text for the first label label_1.text = NSLocalizedString(@"Using two devices for authentication…", nil): ``` 1. Replace the text with your own, for example, Description 1 ```plaintext // Set text for the first label label_1.text = NSLocalizedString(@"Description 1", nil); ``` 1. Identify the line containing the First, scan a QR code text under the //Set text for the second label comment ```plaintext // Set text for the second label label_2.text = NSLocalizedString(@"First, scan a QR code…", nil): ``` 1. Replace the text with your own, for example, Description 2 ```plaintext // Set text for the second label label_2.text = NSLocalizedString(@"Description 2", nil): ``` > Ensure that you make the above changes to the label_1.text and label_2.text entries in both the // iPad section as well as the // iPhone section. ## Adding an Authenticator To add an authenticator to Passport App, refer to section [Embedding an Authenticator](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-packaging-options#embedding-an-authenticator) in the *iOS Developer Guide*. ## The Client Configuration File You can further configure Passport App using the Client Configuration file, mfac_cfg.json. This file enables you to control features such as PIN length, number of PIN retry attempts, whether or not to prompt the user to select an authenticator, and so on. Place the file in the main bundle. For information about mfac_cfg.json, refer to section [*The Client Configuration File*](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-packaging-options#the-client-configuration-file) in the *iOS Developer Guide.*
