# Step 1. Download and Untar the Server Installation Package

1. Download the server installation package, nns3_server_package_*.tgz, from Sharefile into your Server install directory. For example, /opt.
2. Untar the package.

```plaintext
cd /opt 
tar -zxvf nns3_server_package_*.tgz
```

Untarring creates a directory called mfas where the files are unpacked. Using the previous example command, the directory /opt/mfas is created. /opt/mfas is referred to as <NNL_HOME>.
