# Step 1. Specify a FIDO Policy for Transaction Confirmation

Create a FIDO policy that specifies the authenticators allowed to confirm a transaction. See [Step 2. Create FIDO Policies](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-configuring-your-uaf-authenticators#step-2-create-fido-policies) or [Configure FIDO2 Authenticators](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-configure-fido2-authenticators) for instructions to create FIDO policies that specify UAF or FIDO2 authenticators, respectively. Frequently, the transaction confirmation policy is the same one used for authentication.
