Configure Your Client App to Not Accept QR Codes To create the best user experience for OOB, the Server keeps track of whether your app supports QR code scanning. You can enable or disable QR Code scanning for your app by configuring the Server. 1. Login to Nok Nok Admin Console and, if needed, switch to the correct tenant. Navigate to **Configuration > Apps**. 2. Click on your app in the **Apps** list. The **App** page appears. Scroll down to check or uncheck **QR Code** according to whether your app supports QR code scanning. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/038f59a7-abd0-4c14-9de7-3434d28b49fd/Images/Documentation/image9(25).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T03%3A31%3A49Z&se=2026-10-29T04%3A31%3A49Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=I9cs2oCbUwOfv%2Bm6egkHoN%2FsNpipqmwRDN%2FNuEFI%2B4A%3D) 1. Click **Save.** Note that when using the Nok Nok App SDK, your application can dynamically indicate if it supports QR code scanning on a specific device. This can be useful if your app runs on devices where scanning a QR code is not supported, such as a desktop browser. For more information on how to set the QR code flag dynamically, see section *Configuring the FIDO OOB Option for Your Users* in the *Developer Guide* for [Android](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-android-implementing-authentication-in-your-app#configuring-the-fido-oob-option-for-your-users), [iOS](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-implementing-authentication-in-your-app#configuring-the-fido-oob-option-for-your-users) or [Web](/dpoa/docs/s3suite94-web-implementing-authentication-in-your-web-app#configuring-the-fido-oob-option-for-your-users).
