# The default JWT config

You can optionally create a default JWT Config object called jwt_config that controls JWT generation and validation for the following Nok Nok plugins in the tenant:

- JWT Processor (for Session Plugin)
- JWT Transaction Processor
- JWT Authentication Method (for External Authentication)

You can override the Default JWT Config by creating a jwt_config for any of the above plugins. The API Server then uses that jwt_config for the plugin's JWT generation and validation.
