Install Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon client software locally

To install Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon client software

  1. Insert the OneSpan Authentication Server product CD and launch the setup.

    The setup is located in the Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon\Software\architecture folder, where architecture is x86 (for the 32-bit setup) or x64 (for the 64-bit setup).

  2. Read the license agreement text, select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.

  3. Select the program features you want to install.

    Tray AgentInstalls Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon Tray Agent to manage online authentication and offline authentication data, and to monitor the system status and user diagnostics.
    Troubleshooting and DiagnosticsInstalls programs used to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon.
  4. Click Next to start the installation.
  5. After successful installation, click Finish to exit the setup.

Install Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon software locally (silently)

To install the Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon software silently (without setup GUI), run the following command as an administrator:

msiexec /i dawl_product_version_architecture.msi /qn [PROPERTY=VALUE]

where:

  • product_version is the respective product version of the setup package
  • architecture is x86 (for the 32-bit setup) or x64 (for the 64-bit setup)
  • PROPERTY is the name of a property to be set to VALUE.

PROTECTUNINSTALL

Determines if the Digipass Authenticator for Windows Logon client installation should be protected from being removed by unauthorized users (see Protect the client installation). If you set this property to 1, installation protection is configured via Windows Registry.

Property names and values are case sensitive.

Examples

This example performs a typical installation with the default program features (32-bit):

msiexec /i dawl_3.10.0_x86.msi /qn

This example installs a minimum feature set required to run Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon (64-bit):

msiexec /i dawl_3.10.0_x64.msi /qn ADDLOCAL=vdsCore,vdsCredentialProvider

This example performs a typical installation and enables installation protection (64-bit):

msiexec /i dawl_3.10.0_x64.msi /qn PROTECTUNINSTALL=1
