Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon text logging

Prev Next

By default, Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon creates binary log files (vlog) for efficiency reasons. These vlog files are intended to be analyzed by OneSpan technical support.

If you need or want to investigate DAWL issues yourself that cannot be thoroughly analyzed using the Troubleshooting and Diagnostics application, you can additionally enable text logging for analysis before you contact technical support.

You can enable text logging via the following Group Policy setting:

Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > OneSpan > Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon > Auditing > Enable text file logging

If you enable text logging, all DAWL components will log a single text file, i.e %PROGRAMDATA%/OneSpan/Digipass Authentication for Windows Logon/Diag/DAWL.log.

The text log file is archived when its size exceeds 10 MB (and a new text log file is created), but at most 10 log files are kept at the same time.
