DigipassONE Authenticate web trial guide

Introduction

DigipassONE Authenticate enables you to implement passkeys in web and mobile applications.

This guide focuses on the web application free trial. It walks you through building and deploying a sample web application, connecting it to your cloud trial environment and testing passkey registration and sign-in to evaluate DigipassONE Authenticate for your authentication needs.

Who should read this guide

This guide is intended for developers who are familiar with web development and are comfortable with:

• accessing and configuring a cloud trial environment, a.k.a., tenant.

• downloading and using SDKs

• building, deploying and configuring a sample web application.

Non-developers who wish to preview the DigipassONE Authenticate user experience on web can sign up for a self-guided demo.

Objectives

During this trial, you will access the DigipassONE Authenticate Cloud portal where you will be presented with a series of steps that you can click through to:

1. Create your own tenant

2. Open this guide

3. Download the DigipassONE App SDK for Web

4. Configure your tenant

5. Build, configure and test the Tutorial App for web

with the goal of creating a passkey and using it to authenticate and authorize a transaction on a web application.

After you have been granted access to your free evaluation account and set up your sign-in credentials, you can:

1. Access the DigipassONE Authenticate Cloud portal

   

2. For Steps 1 to 3, click on each button to:

   1. Create a tenant

   2. Access this guide

   3. Download the DigipassONE App SDK for web

3. For Step 4:

   1. Click the Configure your tenant button

   2. Access the Web trial: Configure your tenant section of this guide for instructions on how to:

      • Specify the RP ID

      • Allow the Tutorial App for web to access your tenant

      • Access and record the JWT issuer and signing key

4. For Step 5:

   1. Click the Experience your passkey sign-in button to access the Web trial: Build, configure and test the Tutorial App for web section of this guide and follow instructions on how to:

      • Build the Tutorial App for web            

        • Import the SDK files

        • Deploy the Tutorial App for web

      • Configure the Tutorial App for web

      • Test the Tutorial App for web
