You receive an error message "Connection to target not obtained".

Possible causes

This error message typically appears in the following situations:

  • Incorrect connection information was entered.

  • The OneSpan Authentication Server service/daemon is not running.

  • A port filter or firewall prevents the connection.

Solutions

  • The IP address or port number entered in the login window is incorrect. Verify the OneSpan Authentication Server configuration.

  • Verify that the OneSpan Authentication Server service/daemon is running on the destination host.

  • Verify that no port filters are installed and no firewalls are blocking the port you specified to use for connects to the OneSpan Authentication Server host.
